“It’s where 195 used to be…” Keynote speaker, Colin Kane of Peregrine Group and the newly appointed Chairman of the Route 195 Redevelopment District Commission shared insight as to the complicated process facing this commission and the lofty task ahead of finalizing what will actually be developed on the 41 acres of prime real Estate in the Fox Point section of Providence. Kane suggested the need for more parking facilities as one possibility for the expansive parcel to help ease the burden of extremely limited parking spaces in a bustling community. Before any construction can begin, Kane noted that all the necessary zoning and permits must be in place first. He is confident that his talented and diverse committee will be able to consider the wide-ranging needs of groups who are interested in what will become of this land.
